Renowned for his embrace of pragmatic morality as well as his defense of republicanism, he will be forever remembered for The Prince, his guide to practical leadership.   1. Interesting! I read “The Prince” a few years ago, and while I don’t recall every detail, I do remember thinking that it described, in places pretty accurately, a state of political affairs that still occurs today in one form or another. I didn’t think it was all that far off the mark. Some thing never change! We visited Florence recently and toured the Palazzo Medici Riccardi – neat to see this family’s surroundings.
